An excellent opportunity has arisen for a part-time Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or highly experienced Conveyancer seeking a flexible role without the responsibility of a permanent caseload. This well-established and highly regarded conveyancing team is specifically looking for a professional who wants a part-time position, providing holiday and absence cover across the department on a fully remote basis. About the Role This is a unique part-time opportunity where you will step in to manage files during periods when fee earners are on leave. The role is designed to offer flexibility while ensuring continuity of service for clients and stakeholders. You will handle a varied range of residential property matters, including sales, purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity. Working on a part-time basis, you will liaise directly with clients, estate agents, lenders and solicitors to keep transactions progressing smoothly and completing on time. Key Responsibilities • Manage residential conveyancing matters on a part-time cover basis • Review titles, contracts, search results and supporting documentation • Draft and check legal documents, including contracts, transfer deeds and mortgage paperwork • Communicate effectively with clients and third parties to maintain progress • Oversee all stages of the conveyancing process, including exchange, completion and post-completion What You’ll Need • Qualification as a Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or significant experience in residential conveyancing • Ability to independently manage files in a flexible, part-time capacity • Strong understanding of UK conveyancing procedures and property law • Experience using Land Registry systems and search platforms • Professional membership (e.g. Law Society or CLC) is advantageous but not essential What’s on Offer? • Competitive salary (pro-rated for a part-time role) • Fully remote working with genuine flexibility • Monthly bonus scheme • Supportive and collaborative team environment • Ongoing professional development • Clear progression opportunities within a growing firm This is an ideal part-time role for a conveyancing professional who enjoys the technical aspects of the work and is looking for flexibility without the pressure of maintaining a permanent caseload.
