Experienced Conveyancing Secretary Location: Yate Salary: £28,000 per annum (with flexibility for the right candidate) Hours: 9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday Contract: Full-time preferred, 4 days per week considered About the Role We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Conveyancing Secretary to join our friendly and supportive Residential Conveyancing team in Yate. This is a well-established, close-knit office consisting of one fee-earner and two assistants, offering a manageable caseload and a positive working environment. The role would suit an organised and proactive individual who enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in delivering excellent client service throughout the conveyancing process. Key Responsibilities • Providing comprehensive secretarial support to the Residential Conveyancing team. • Managing conveyancing files from client onboarding through to completion and archiving. • Preparing correspondence, legal documents and forms. • Liaising with clients, estate agents, solicitors, mortgage lenders and other third parties. • Opening and closing files in accordance with firm procedures. • Maintaining accurate records and updating the case management system. • Assisting with compliance and administrative requirements throughout the conveyancing process. • Using initiative to progress matters and support the team where appropriate. • General office administration and support duties. About You The successful candidate will have: • Previous experience as a Conveyancing Secretary within a residential conveyancing department. • A thorough understanding of the conveyancing process from instruction to post-completion. • Strong organisational and time management skills. • Excellent communication and client care skills. • Previous experience using legal case management systems. • The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a small team. • A proactive and professional approach to work. Please note: This role does not involve audio typing.
