Conveyancing Legal Secretary (Temporary) Assignment Dates: 24 July - 3 August Working Days: Monday, Wednesday and Friday Hours: 9:30am - 5:30pm (Monday & Wednesday) and 9:30am - 5:00pm (Friday) Travel/Parking: Parking can be arranged and the office is also conveniently located near to tube and bus hubs alongside high street amenities. Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Conveyancing Legal Secretary to provide temporary support within a busy Residential Conveyancing department. The role will involve managing emails, extensive audio typing using a Dictaphone system, and providing comprehensive administrative support throughout the conveyancing process. The successful candidate will be confident preparing and processing a wide range of residential conveyancing documentation, including property information forms, contract packs, transfer deeds etc. Key Responsibilities • Managing and responding to conveyancing-related emails. • Audio typing from Dictaphone recordings with a high degree of accuracy. • Preparing and processing residential conveyancing documentation. • Registering applications and scanning documents to the Land Registry. • Assisting fee earners with general conveyancing administration. • Drafting and formatting client correspondence. • Maintaining and updating electronic case files. Conveyancing Documents Handled The successful candidate will be confident working with: • TA6 Property Information Forms • TA10 Fittings and Contents Forms • Contract Packs • Requisitions on Title • Completion Statements • Mortgage Reports • Land Registry Forms, including TR1 and AP1 • Client Correspondence Requirements • Previous experience as a Conveyancing Legal Secretary. • Strong audio typing skills and experience using Dictaphone systems. • Knowledge of residential conveyancing procedures and documentation. • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. • Ability to work independently and manage a busy workload. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced legal secretary to provide valuable support to a well-established conveyancing team during a short-term assignment.
