Credit Controller (Part-Time, Flexible Hours) £32,000 Pro-Rata + Bonus Nationwide | Growing Accountancy Practice We’re a fast-growing nationwide accountancy practice seeking a part-time Credit Controller to manage and chase outstanding direct debits, fees, and overdue payments from both companies and individuals. This is an ideal role for someone who is organised, confident, and experienced in credit control within a professional services environment. Role Overview The Credit Controller will take ownership of the practice’s credit management processes, ensuring timely collection of fees and maintaining strong communication with clients. You’ll play a key role in keeping accounts up to date, resolving payment issues, and supporting the financial health of the business. Key Responsibilities • Credit Control Management — Oversee and manage the full credit control cycle for the practice. • Chasing Outstanding Payments — Contact companies and individuals to recover overdue direct debits, fees, and missed payments. • Payment Monitoring — Track incoming payments, identify late accounts, and maintain accurate records. • Client Communication — Communicate professionally with clients to resolve payment issues and maintain positive relationships. • Reporting — Provide regular updates on outstanding balances, risks, and recovery progress. • Process Improvement — Suggest and implement improvements to streamline credit control workflows. • Collaboration — Work closely with the accounts team to ensure accurate billing and reconciliation. What We’re Looking For • 5+ years’ experience in credit control or accounts receivable. • Strong communication and negotiation skills. • Confident chasing overdue payments professionally and firmly. • Excellent organisation and record-keeping. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. • Experience within an accountancy practice or professional services (preferred).
