Employment Associate Solicitor
Glasgow | Hybrid Working

The role
As an Employment Associate Solicitor, you'll handle a broad range of contentious and non-contentious matters, with a particular focus on contentious work. Day to day, this includes:
• Advising on employment disputes, including unfair dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing and breach of contract claims
• Preparing and defending Employment Tribunal proceedings, including hearings and judicial mediations
• Providing practical advice on disciplinary, grievance, absence management and workplace policies
• Supporting transactional matters, including M&A, due diligence and TUPE
• Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, consultancy agreements and NXD appointments
• Advising on restructures, redundancies, settlement agreements and negotiated exits
• Working alongside dispute resolution colleagues on restrictive covenants and post-termination matters
• Delivering client training, webinars and thought leadership content
About you
This role would suit an Employment Solicitor who:
• Has established experience in employment law, ideally at Associate level (candidates without this level are encouraged to apply)
• Has handled a mix of contentious and non-contentious employment matters
• Has solid knowledge of employment and discrimination law
• Has experience of Tribunal litigation and advocacy support
• Has some transactional experience, including M&A and TUPE (advantageous but not essential)
• Has excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills
• Takes a commercial, solutions-focused approach to client work
