Job Title: QTS English & Maths Tutor (Part-Time) | September 2026 Start Location: Stockport, Greater Manchester Pay Rate: GBP30 per hour Job Type: Temporary | Part-Time | Flexible Hours Available Start Date: September 2026 We are currently seeking a Qualified Teacher (QTS essential) to join our team as an English & Maths Tutor, supporting secondary-aged learners across Stockport from September 2026. This role is only suitable for candidates who hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have experience teaching in UK schools. You will deliver high-quality, one-to-one tuition, planning and preparing your own lessons to help students build confidence, strengthen their English and Maths skills, and make strong academic progress. Sessions take place during school hours, providing excellent flexibility while offering the opportunity to make a meaningful difference to young people's education. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging, personalised one-to-one English and Maths tuition to secondary-aged pupils. Independently plan, prepare and deliver lessons tailored to each learner's individual needs. Support students in developing confidence, subject knowledge and key academic skills. Monitor progress and adapt teaching approaches to maximise student outcomes. Build positive, professional relationships that encourage engagement and achievement. Maintain accurate records in line with safeguarding and company procedures. Essential Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential applications from candidates without QTS cannot be considered. A minimum of 6 months' UK-based teaching experience. Experience teaching English and Maths to secondary-aged pupils. Confidence in independently planning and delivering your own lessons. Excellent communication, organisation and classroom management skills. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one. Right to work in the UK. Desirable Experience Previous experience delivering one-to-one tuition. Experience supporting learners with additional educational needs, including SEND. Knowledge of the GCSE curriculum and assessment requirements. Experience preparing students for GCSE examinations and improving attainment. Why Join Us? GBP30 per hour.
