English Lecturer

With 6.1 FTE currently available, we're looking for talented English specialists to join our growing team. We're happy to consider full-time, part-time or job-share arrangements, so whether you're looking for a few hours each week or a full-time teaching role, we'd love to hear from you. What you'll do: • Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across English programmes • Inspire and motivate learners to achieve their full potential and develop confidence in English • Plan engaging lessons that meet the needs of learners from a range of backgrounds and abilities • Monitor learner progress, providing timely feedback and support to maximise achievement • Develop high-quality learning resources that reflect current curriculum requirements • Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement across the department • Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an outstanding learner experience • Support learners to progress into further education, apprenticeships, higher education or employment What we're looking for: • A degree in English or a closely related subject • A teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one) • Experience teaching, training or mentoring learners in an educational or workplace setting • Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for English • Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills • Ability to engage, motivate and inspire learners from a range of backgrounds • A collaborative approach and commitment to continuous professional development • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and adults We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all sectors of the community.
