Executive Assistant - Temporary • Hourly Rate: Circa £17 • Location: Kingston • Job Type: Temporary (Starting in August) We are seeking a highly organised, proactive, and personable Executive Assistant to support the Deputy Head (Pastoral) and the Sixth Form team at a local educational institution. This temporary role is crucial in providing comprehensive administrative and pastoral support, particularly focusing on Sixth Form provision. The ideal candidate will be adept at multitasking, possess a flexible, "can-do" attitude, and uphold a high level of discretion and professionalism. Day-to-day of the role: • Act as a central point of contact for Sixth Form students, staff, and parents, managing communication and ensuring timely and accurate information sharing. • Support the day-to-day operations of the Sixth Form, including supervising study spaces and maintaining a calm, purposeful environment. • Monitor and support student attendance, punctuality, uniform, and behaviour in line with school policies, assisting with the issuing of rewards and sanctions. • Organise and support Sixth Form events such as induction programmes, open events, leavers' day, graduation, and results days. • Provide high-level administrative support to the Deputy Head (Pastoral) and Head of Sixth Form, including maintaining confidential student records and preparing reports and documents. • Support behaviour management processes and liaise with admissions regarding safeguarding information for new starters. • Provide a visible, approachable presence for student queries and support pastoral interventions and wellbeing initiatives. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Educated to at least A-Level standard (or equivalent). • Previous administrative experience is essential, with experience in an educational setting being highly desirable. • Excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (especially Excel). • High level of literacy and written communication skills. • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities. • Clear and confident verbal communication skills. • Ability to work independently and under pressure, maintaining a positive and energetic approach.
