Wellbeing & Safeguarding Support Officer (Part-Time | Maternity Cover) Ready to make a real difference in young people’s lives? We’re looking for a compassionate and proactive Wellbeing & Safeguarding Support Officer to join a forward-thinking UTC on a part-time maternity cover basis starting this September. Start: September | 21 hours (Mon–Wed) | Term Time + 2 Weeks Hourly Rate: £paye East London: Tower Hamlets No onsite Parking Must have an enhanced DBS In this vital role, you’ll support the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) in ensuring students feel safe, supported, and heard. You’ll be working at the heart of student wellbeing—building relationships, responding to safeguarding concerns, and collaborating with staff, families, and external agencies. Key responsibilities include: • Managing a caseload of safeguarding concerns and supporting vulnerable students • Monitoring and responding to CPOMS safeguarding alerts • Liaising with staff, families, and external professionals to ensure appropriate support • Attending meetings, contributing to interventions, and supporting referrals/EHAs • Undertaking training and actively contributing to a safe school culture This is your chance to: Work in a supportive and collaborative school environment Play a key role in safeguarding and student wellbeing Build meaningful relationships with young people and families Develop your safeguarding expertise (Level 3 training supported) We’re seeking someone who: • Has experience in a safeguarding, pastoral, or similar role • Can communicate confidently with young people and adults • Understands safeguarding procedures within a school setting • Is empathetic, organised, and committed to inclusion and equality Apply now to secure this September start opportunity!
