Facilities Manager - FTC
Maidstone
£35,000 - £45,000 DOE
Monday to Friday, Hybrid (1 day WFH per week)
9:00 – 5:00 or 8:00 – 4:00

We're recruiting for an Facilities Manager to join a well-established, global organisation on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting site operations, facilities management, and improvement projects within a fast-paced manufacturing and laboratory environment.
You'll be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operation of a busy site, ensuring facilities, contractors, and building services are managed efficiently while maintaining compliance with health and safety standards. Acting as a key point of contact for employees, suppliers, and service providers, you'll help deliver projects on time and within budget while driving continuous improvements across the site.
Duties include:
• Coordinate day-to-day facilities operations across office, laboratory, warehouse, and manufacturing environments.
• Manage planned and reactive maintenance activities, ensuring the site remains safe, compliant, and fully operational.
• Oversee external contractors and suppliers, monitoring service delivery and performance against agreed SLAs.
• Support facilities projects from planning through to completion, ensuring timescales, budgets, and objectives are achieved.
• Assist with contractor onboarding, contract renewals, and supplier performance reviews.
• Maintain compliance documentation, including health & safety records, permits, risk assessments, and contractor paperwork.
• Administer site security and access control systems.
• Support the management of utilities and building services, including energy, water, and office support services.
• Assist with facilities budgets, invoice management, and cost monitoring.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs across the site.
The right candidate will have/be:
• Previous experience within Facilities Management, Facilities Coordination, Workplace Services, or Project Coordination.
• Experience managing contractors, suppliers, and maintenance activities.
• Strong project coordination and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence working with stakeholders at all levels.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of health & safety compliance and facilities administration.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
• The ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment.
