Equifind are proud to be supporting a thriving real estate client to recruit a Payments and Finance Operations Manager to work from their London office. Due to investment and a reshuffle in the finance team, there is now a need to add this position to support the senior finance function with the daily running of the transactional area of the business. We are seeking an experienced Payments & Finance Operations Manager to lead and optimise payment processes, financial controls, and operational efficiency within a fast-paced professional services organisation. You will be given full responsibility on streamlining processes, enhancing the controls and building a robust finance function for the future. Key deliverables for this position include: • Lead day-to-day finance operations and team management including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing support • Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, collections, and reconciliations • Own month-end processes related to cash, payments, and working capital • Build and maintain robust financial controls and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations • Support audits by preparing documentation and responding to queries • Identify and implement process efficiencies across finance and payments workflows • Oversee end-to-end payment processes including supplier payments, client refunds, and intercompany transfers • Ensure all payments are processed accurately, securely, and in line with internal controls and approval frameworks • Manage payment platforms, banking systems, and relationships with external providers • Monitor cash flow and liquidity to ensure adequate funding for operational needs • Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, failed transactions, and operational issues • Ad hoc projects as and when needed by senior management About the business A real estate management firm that operates all over the globe. The business works closely with all their clients and looks at development management, project management, in addition to client services and portfolio management. Whatever the client needs, they can offer a tailored solution. The business has grown its headcount considerably due to its results, and you will be joining a high performing organisation. This role offers maximum exposure to business operations with you working closely with both the finance director and senior management regularly. The business likes everyone to be office-based, so you will be required to be in full time. Background and experience: • Can be a part-qualified or qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) • Proficient with ERP systems, particularly NetSuite is highly desirable • Previous experience of working within a SME • Experience of team management is a MUST • Have a strong background in treasury and cash management • Strong understanding of finance processes, systems, controls and projects • Strong stakeholder management • Ability to operate in a fast-moving, deadline-driven environment Package on offer: • Base salary of £60k-£70k depending on your industry experience. • Discretionary annual bonus and all the usual benefits/perks • Ideally you will be on no more than 4 weeks' notice for this opportunity
