Job description

FP&A Analyst • Salary: £47,500 - £52,500 per annum • Location: Chester – Hybrid working conditions • Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent We are seeking a Power BI and FP&A Analyst to join our market leading client based in the heart of Chester city centre. This role is crucial for developing and improving Power BI reporting, scoreboards, and interactive dashboards, enabling the business to access better insights and make more informed decisions. Additionally, the role supports core FP&A activities, including month-end and weekly reporting and budgeting. Day-to-day of the role: • Develop, maintain, and improve Power BI reports, scorecards, and dashboards, enabling stakeholders to access consistent, timely, and actionable performance insight. • Translate stakeholder requirements into practical, user-friendly reporting outputs, ensuring reports are aligned to business priorities and support effective decision-making. • Support data quality, testing, and issue resolution for reporting developments, helping to build confidence in the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of business information. • Produce weekly and month-end reporting accurately and on time, providing clear visibility of performance trends, risks, and opportunities across the business. • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, and ad hoc projects. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Strong Power BI skills, including dashboard design, data visualisation, and report development. • Experience with data models, data transformation, and reporting datasets. • Strong Excel and analytical skills, with confidence working with large data sets. • Good understanding of financial and operational reporting. • High attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities. • Proactive, improvement-focused, and able to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. What we are looking for: • Previous FP&A, reporting, commercial finance, or business analysis experience. • Experience in a multi-site organisation • Experience of Business Central, Jet Reports, data warehouses, or similar reporting systems.
