About the Role • As a Functional Skills English Lecturer at Coleg Cambria, you will: • Deliver engaging and effective Functional Skills English lessons to learners across a range of programmes, • Plan and prepare learning activities that meet curriculum and awarding body requirements, • Support learners in developing their reading, writing, speaking, listening, and communication skills, • Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement, • Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment, • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure learners achieve successful outcomes. What We’re Looking For • Experience teaching English or Functional Skills within Further Education, training, or a related setting, • Strong knowledge of Functional Skills English qualifications and curriculum requirements, • Excellent communication and organisational skills, • A passion for supporting and developing learners of all abilities, • A teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one) is desirable, • A valid or update-service DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
