Job description

We are a premier alternative asset management firm specializing in private credit markets, currently managing over $20 billion in assets under management (AUM). Our investment strategies span direct lending, distressed debt, and structured credit, primarily utilizing Luxembourg-domiciled closed-end fund structures. Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and technically sharp Fund Controller for a 12-month Fixed-Term Contract (FTC). This critical hire will provide robust BAU coverage and leadership across our closed-end Luxembourg credit funds. By ensuring seamless day-to-day financial operations, you will enable the permanent team to focus on major strategic projects, infrastructure upgrades, and system implementations. Key Responsibilities • Fund Accounting & Oversight: Oversee the day-to-day financial management of Luxembourg-domiciled closed-end private credit funds, master-feeder structures, and associated SPVs. • Third-Party Provider Management: Manage relationships with external administrators, depositaries, auditors, and tax advisors to ensure precise and timely NAV delivery. • Credit Operations Support: Partner with the deal and operations teams to review credit facility draws, capital calls, distributions, and complex fee calculations (including management fees and carried interest). • Financial Reporting & Audit: Review quarterly and annual financial statements prepared under Lux GAAP / IFRS, ensuring seamless management of the year-end audit process. • Treasury & Liquidity Management: Monitor fund liquidity, manage bridge facilities, and oversee cash forecasting to support ongoing deal flow and fund expenses. • Regulatory & Tax Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with Luxembourg regulatory frameworks (AIFMD, CSSF regulations) and support FATCA/CRS and tax reporting requirements. The Ideal Candidate • Note: Because this is a contract role covering for a team focused on high-priority projects, the successful candidate must be a self-starter who can "plug and play" with minimal supervision. • Experience: Minimum of 5-8 years of post-qualification experience within private debt, private equity, or alternative asset management (direct credit fund experience is highly preferred). • Technical Expertise: Strong working knowledge of closed-end fund structures and Luxembourg GAAP / IFRS. • Qualifications: ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification. • System Skills: Advanced Excel skills are essential; familiarity with credit-specific platforms (e.g., Allvue, eFront, Geneva) is a significant advantage. • Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
