Gas Engineer
Paignton - Covering the local and surrounding areas
£42,235 - £44,458 per year
40 hours per week - Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:30
We have an opportunity for a highly motivated Gas Engineer to join our South West Gas Installation team, based in Paignton. You will be Installing a range of domestic gas boilers to our customers property's, including but not limited to Combi, Heat only and system boilers. You will be working as part of a 2 person team, and you will be provided with a company van and all the power and essential tools needed for the job. You will also be issued with an iPhone and tablet which links to our systems including scheduling and fault reporting. This role will also include on-call duties, which will be rota'd (usually 1 in 4-6 weeks depending on call out area). More information about the on-call rota and relating allowances can be provided at the interview stage.
The role ofGas Engineerwill include:
• Installation of domestic gas boilers in line with industry standards and regulations
• Working in a safe and responsible manor, completing job sheets and LGSR certificates on completion
• Providing accurate and timely information on progress and advice that is easily understood by the customer, ensuring accurate daily work records are completed
• Utilising analytical and trade skills to diagnose and repair faults
• Service, maintenance and diagnostics of gas boilers, central heating and unvented hot water systems
• Completing and submitting gas safety records, identifying and responding to risks, recording logging and completing work via electronic device tablet or phone
• Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and stocks are replenished as needed from our partner suppliers
Skills and experiences:
• To ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, CPA1, HTR1, Unvented - G3 Certificate, Water Regulations (WRAS) As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted
• Experience in installing domestic gas boilers is essential, working on Combi - Combi swap, conversions and full heating installations as well as unvented cylinders
• Proactive approach to work with an ability to have a can do attitude to ensure work is completed to a high standard
• This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving license
