Grounds Maintenance Operative Location: Bridgwater, Somerset Pay: £13.69 Hours: Monday to Thursday (07:30–15:30), Friday (07:30–15:00) Hours per week: 37 hours Contract: Temporary to Permanent Start Date: Immediate *Requirement: A full UK Driving Licence is essential for this role.* We are looking for reliable Grounds Maintenance Operatives to join an active outdoor team keeping local green spaces in Bridgwater looking immaculate. This is a fantastic opportunity if you enjoy working outdoors, have experience using basic garden machinery, and want a secure Monday-to-Friday routine with early Friday finishes and a direct route to a permanent job. What You’ll Be Doing: * Operating petrol grass strimmers and hedge cutters to keep borders tidy. * Using push mowers and pedestrian mowers to maintain lawns. * Clearing out weeds from planted borders and pathways. * Assisting with general outdoor tidying and litter picking to keep sites clean. * Following standard safety guidelines while using tools and machinery. What We’re Looking For: * Previous practical experience using petrol garden machinery (like strimmers or hedge cutters) is required. * A full, valid UK Driving Licence (Essential). * A reliable individual who enjoys physical, outdoor work in all weather conditions. * Punctual, hardworking, and able to work well in a small crew.
