Job description

Head of Corporate Compliance & Tax East Yorkshire | Hybrid Working Competitive Salary + Bonus + Lucrative Pension + Benefits An exceptional opportunity has arisen to join a successful, private equity-backed UK business entering an exciting phase of growth. Reporting to the CFO and working closely with the Executive Leadership Team, this newly created role will lead the organisation's corporate governance, compliance and tax agenda. You'll play a pivotal role in strengthening governance frameworks, managing risk, ensuring regulatory compliance and providing strategic oversight of the Group's tax affairs. This is a highly visible leadership position, offering genuine influence across the business and the opportunity to shape governance, policy and internal controls within a dynamic and ambitious organisation. The business has a strong track record of growth, is committed to sustainability and innovation, and operates within a collaborative, values-led culture. Key Responsibilities • Lead the Group's corporate governance and compliance framework. • Develop and embed robust risk management and internal control processes. • Own the Group's tax strategy, ensuring compliance across corporation tax, VAT and employment taxes. • Advise the CFO, Executive Team and Audit Committee on governance, compliance and regulatory matters. • Develop and implement key corporate policies and ensure compliance across the organisation. • Manage relationships with HMRC, external advisers and auditors. About You You'll have significant experience in governance, compliance and risk management, together with strong knowledge of UK corporate tax. Comfortable operating at Board and Executive level, you'll be a commercially minded leader with the ability to influence, challenge and drive best practice. ACA, ACCA, CTA or an equivalent professional qualification would be advantageous.
