This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified actuary or technical pricing expert looking to step into a more strategic, influential role at the heart of insurance risk. We're looking for someone with a strong background in pricing and underwriting who wants to apply their technical expertise in a second-line risk function. Rather than focusing on operational risk, you'll challenge pricing models, underwriting strategy and portfolio performance, helping shape key business decisions and supporting the Chief Actuary. What you'll be doing: • Providing independent challenge to pricing, underwriting and reinsurance strategies. • Reviewing pricing models and ensuring they accurately reflect the risks being taken. • Influencing business strategy through technical insight and robust risk oversight. • Working closely with actuarial, underwriting and senior leadership teams. • Supporting capital, stress testing and risk appetite activities. What we're looking for: • Qualified Actuary (or equivalent senior insurance qualification). • Strong pricing and actuarial experience gained within an insurer or consultancy. • Deep understanding of how pricing drives profitability, growth and portfolio performance. • Commercial mindset with the ability to influence senior stakeholders. • Someone looking to broaden their career into strategic insurance risk.
