Hostel Services Manager
We are currently supporting a housing association in Bedfordshire to recruit a Hostel Services Manager on a permanent basis. The postholder will have responsibility for oversight of the ongoing management of supported accommodation provided to all and to deliver the best possible outcomes for the customers.
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday (37 hours) with planned on call
Salary: £40,000 - £42,500
Essential Car User Allowance paid in addition to mileage reimbursement
• Lead the delivery of supported accommodation services, ensuring safe, high-quality support and positive outcomes for customers
• Manage, mentor and develop Team Leaders, the Hostel Coordinator and specialist Support Coaches
• Drive service excellence through performance management, continuous improvement and operational efficiency
• Work with the Head of Homes and senior leadership team to deliver strategic and organisational objectives
• Oversee key operational performance, including voids, rent collection, arrears, tenancy sustainment and service KPIs
• Lead on safeguarding, risk management, complaints and compliance, ensuring services meet regulatory and organisational standards
• Maintain effective systems, records and audits to support strong tenancy management, financial control and service quality
• Develop partnerships with local authorities and external agencies, supporting service development, tenders and community engagement
• Manage service budgets, income and performance reporting, ensuring financial and operational targets are achieved
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure effective management of customer accounts, repairs, compliance and property performance
• Promote resident engagement, organisational values and adherence to all policies, procedures and health and safety requirements
The successful candidate will have:
• Strong management experience within social care, housing, supported accommodation, or a related support service environment
• Proven experience of leading, motivating and developing high-performing teams to achieve positive outcomes
• Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle
