Job description

We are seeking a dedicated HR Assistant to work closely with the HR Manager, providing comprehensive support across HR and payroll functions. This role is ideal for someone who excels in administrative tasks and has a keen interest in human resources management. Day-to-Day of the Role: • Perform daily administrative tasks to support HR and payroll functions. • Maintain accurate employee records and organize documentation efficiently. • Oversee and monitor attendance records for salaried employees, addressing any discrepancies. • Manage timesheets for hourly employees, ensuring accuracy and timely filing. • Enter new starters and leavers into the system promptly and coordinate with payroll for any necessary updates. • Assist in the recruitment and onboarding process, including providing inductions to new hires and collecting necessary documentation. • Maintain up-to-date employee records, including performance reviews, probation periods, and HR documentation. • Prepare and issue employment contracts, track contract end dates and renewals. • Manage annual leave data and assist with updates to job descriptions as required. • Conduct routine audits, such as locker and safety shoe audits, and maintain relevant trackers. • Manage office supplies and ensure stock levels are maintained. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. • Experience with HR systems (HRIS) and databases. • Previous experience in an HR role, preferably in a similar industry. • Familiarity with timesheets and payroll processes. • A keen eye for accuracy in record-keeping and reporting. • Well-organized with strong time management skills. • Understanding of confidentiality and data protection principles. • Basic knowledge of UK employment law. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion. • Problem-solving abilities and ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment. Hours: Mon-Fri 8am to 4.30pm (5 days on site) Location: Park Royal (must be able to commute) Duration: Temporary 3-12 months
