HR Operations
• Provide day-to-day management of the HR function, continuously developing and refining HR administration, systems, and processes.
• Contribute to the delivery of the HR strategy through targeted project work and organisational initiatives.
• Assist in coaching and guide managers through the full employee lifecycle, ensuring the Federations culture and values are embedded in all HR practices.
Employee Relations & Advice
• Act as the primary point of contact for the Federation HR Advice Service, providing Practice Managers with timely, expert guidance on complex HR queries.
• Provide expertise to Service Managers and senior leadership on disciplinary and grievance issues, taking full ownership of a diverse HR caseload.
• Lead internal investigations as a designated Investigation Officer, ensuring all proceedings adhere strictly to ACAS standards.
• Manage and process flexible working requests in accordance with legislative requirements and ACAS best practices.
Compliance & Employee Lifecycle
• Take responsibility for visa applications and sponsorships, maintaining rigorous monitoring systems and escalating potential issues immediately.
• Oversee and assist with the onboarding process to ensure all new hires are integrated effectively and in compliance with Federation policies.
• Conduct maternity risk assessments and develop support plans to ensure the well-being of expectant and new parents.
Engagement & Development
• Lead the creation, delivery, and analysis of the annual Staff Survey to drive continuous improvement in employee engagement.
• Proactively develop the HR advice service, delivering regular HR legislative updates and best-practice briefings to member practices.
Data & Digital Transformation
• Utilise HR Information Systems (HRX) to analyse key metrics such as turnover rates, absence trends, and time-to-hire providing actionable insights to the Senior Management Team.
Wellbeing & Mental Health
• Manage referrals to Occupational Health and lead on the implementation of 'return to work' plans for complex or long-term sickness cases.
• Act as mental Health first aider
• Lead or support the delivery of a wellbeing calendar, promoting mental health awareness and signposting staff to wellbeing initiatives.
