Job description

HR Manager -Immediate start The Opportunity Are you a commercially minded HR Manager ready to take operational ownership of a dynamic people function? Our client is seeking a proactive leader to drive operational excellence across the business. Working closely with the executive team, you will act as a trusted partner to department heads, translating business objectives into effective people strategies. This is a role for a true generalist who thrives on building management capability, navigating complex employee relations, and fostering a high-performance culture. Upskilling & Advisory Your primary impact lies in driving management confidence. You will act as the key operational lead for department heads, delivering pragmatic, commercially focused solutions to everyday challenges. By providing hands-on coaching and training, you will empower leaders in modern people management and employment law, while taking full ownership of complex employee relations cases (from grievances to long-term absence and performance capability). Strategy & Change Beyond daily advisory work, you will collaborate with senior leadership to deliver a UK-wide people strategy that directly aligns with commercial goals. This role spearheads organizational change, safely navigating restructures, consultations, workforce planning, and targeted talent acquisition cycles to protect the business and ensure seamless continuity. Insights & Action You will actively use data to drive improvement. By analyzing key HR metrics and trends, you will design proactive action plans that measurably boost attendance, retention, and overall organizational performance across the workforce. Profile Requirements • Extensive track record as an HR Manager or Senior Business Partner in a fast-paced environment. • High level of professional gravitas—comfortable challenging, influencing, and mentoring senior stakeholders. • Deep, current knowledge of UK employment legislation and risk mitigation. • A metric-driven problem solver with a pragmatic, human-first approach to complex cases.
