HR Manager - Oxford Location: Central Oxford (on-site) excellent public transport links nearby Salary: £50,000 per annum dependent on experience, plus exceptional benefits including enhanced pension contributions Reed HR are delighted to be supporting a prestigious and well-established Oxford-based organisation in their search for an experienced HR Manager to join them in a newly created standalone role. This is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished HR professional to review, develop and lead the HR function, supporting a diverse workforce within a complex and highly regarded environment. The role offers a rare opportunity to shape HR strategy while remaining closely involved in operational delivery, making a tangible impact across the organisation. Reporting to a senior leader, you will act as the organisation's HR expert, providing both strategic and hands-on support across all aspects of the employee lifecycle. The Role Key responsibilities will include: • Advising senior stakeholders and departmental leaders on a broad range of HR and employment matters. • Reviewing, developing and implementing HR policies and procedures in line with employment legislation and best practice. • Supporting organisational development initiatives, staff wellbeing programmes and training activities. • Providing guidance and support on employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management and organisational change. • Championing diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives across the organisation. • Supporting managers with recruitment, onboarding, performance management and employee engagement activities. • Managing HR systems and ensuring accurate HR records and GDPR compliance. • Producing key HR reports, including equality and workforce data. • Delivering HR training and coordinating external training providers where required. • Building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels to promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture. About You We are keen to hear from HR professionals who possess: • CIPD Level 5 qualification or above, or equivalent professional experience. • Significant generalist HR experience, ideally gained within higher education, a not-for-profit environment or another complex organisation. • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice. • Experience of developing and implementing HR policies and procedures. • Excellent employee relations expertise and the confidence to advise senior stakeholders. • A proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to successfully manage a standalone HR function. • Experience using HR systems and maintaining accurate employee records. • Outstanding communication, interpersonal and influencing skills. • High levels of professionalism, discretion and attention to detail.
