Your New CompanyOur client is seeking an experienced HVAC Engineer to support the maintenance and operation of critical infrastructure across two secure sites in Gloucestershire. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established engineering team working within a unique and technically challenging environment that directly supports operational readiness and essential services.
Your New RoleAs an HVAC Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and improving a wide range of HVAC systems, including air conditioning, ventilation and extraction equipment.Key responsibilities include:
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and statutory compliance inspections.
• Diagnosing faults and undertaking reactive maintenance and repairs.
• Completing minor installation and refurbishment works.
• Interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records using PDA and tablet-based systems.
• Ensuring all work is completed in line with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
• Preparing and adhering to RAMS documentation.
• Identifying and reporting equipment defects and compliance concerns.
• Building positive relationships with stakeholders, subcontractors and customers.
• Supporting and mentoring apprentices where required.
This position includes participation in an on-call rota covering evenings, nights and weekends, with additional earnings available through overtime and emergency call-outs.
Working Hours:40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 8:00am to 4:30pm. On-call rota, between 4:30pm and 8:00am, including weekends
What You'll Need to Succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have:Essential Requirements
• City & Guilds qualification in Air Conditioning or equivalent.
• F-Gas Category 1 Certification.
• Safe Handling of Refrigerants qualification.
• Proven experience carrying out HVAC maintenance and fault diagnosis.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation, including COSHH and RIDDOR.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Ability to obtain Security Clearance (SC).
Desirable Requirements
• Previous experience within commercial or defence environments.
• Knowledge of JSP 375 requirements.
• First Aid or additional Health & Safety qualifications.
• Existing Security Clearance.
• Hydrocarbon refrigerant certification.
• Membership of a relevant professional body.

• Time and a half (Monday to Saturday)
