Legal Secretary – Litigation Department Location: Hale, Manchester Salary: Competitive (DOE) Benefits: Comprehensive employee benefits package including bonus scheme Are you an experienced Legal Secretary looking to join a modern, forward-thinking law firm where your contribution is genuinely valued? We're recruiting for a Litigation Legal Secretary to provide high-quality secretarial and administrative support within a busy and successful Litigation team. The Role As a Legal Secretary, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the Litigation department, providing first-class support to fee earners while also assisting with wider administrative and operational duties across the firm when required. This is a varied position offering plenty of responsibility and the opportunity to contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and client service. Key Responsibilities • Providing comprehensive secretarial support to the Litigation team. • Audio typing and preparing legal correspondence, documents and reports. • Managing diaries, appointments and general administrative tasks. • Opening new client files and maintaining accurate case records. • Handling incoming telephone calls professionally and directing enquiries appropriately. • Providing reception cover when required. • Assisting with the smooth day-to-day operation of the office. • Supporting the Office Manager with administrative and operational tasks. • Maintaining high levels of client care and confidentiality at all times. About You We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive and enjoys working as part of a supportive legal team. You'll ideally have: • At least 2 years' experience working as a Legal Secretary or Legal Assistant within a law firm. • Excellent audio typing and document production skills. • Strong communication and client care abilities. • Previous experience using a legal case management system. • Excellent organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail. • Confidence managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines. • A positive, professional and approachable manner. • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
