Locum Junior Planning Lawyer – East Midlands – Full Time – Primarily Remote Working – Up to £50 per hour Umbrella Venn Group’s specialist Public Sector Legal team is currently recruiting for a Locum Junior Planning Lawyer to join a respected Local Authority in the East Midlands on an interim basis. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a planning lawyer looking to further develop their local government experience within a supportive legal team. Role Details: • Position: Locum Junior Planning Lawyer • Working Arrangement: Full Time preferred, but will consider 3 days+ • Duration: 3–6 months • Rate: Up to £50 per hour Umbrella Key Responsibilities: • Assisting with the preparation and negotiation of Section 106 Agreements • Supporting the drafting of Highways Agreements under Sections 38 and 278 of the Highways Act • Providing legal advice on planning matters under supervision where required • Assisting with policy and strategic planning advice • Supporting officers and stakeholders on planning and highways matters • Contributing to the delivery of a high-quality legal service Candidate Requirements: • Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive (or equivalent) • Experience within Planning Law, ideally within a Local Authority environment • Experience or exposure to Section 106 Agreements • Interest in developing expertise in highways law and agreements Job Reference: J95841 For further information or to apply for this role, please contact Philippa Stoate or Ebby Vallance on or via email at .
