Maths & Science Teacher Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire Full-Time | Fixed-Term Contract (1 Year) September 2026 Start £150 - £250 per day REED Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in the Hemel Hempstead area to recruit a talented and dedicated Maths & Science Teacher for a full-time, one-year fixed-term position starting in September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher who is passionate about Mathematics and Science and has the experience and subject knowledge to deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. The Role You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality Maths and Science lessons, creating a positive learning environment and supporting students to achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities: • Teach Maths and Science to students across KS3 and KS4. • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons. • Assess, monitor and report on student progress. • Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment. • Support students of varying abilities to achieve strong academic outcomes. • Contribute to departmental development and the wider life of the school. The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will: • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. • Have recent experience teaching Mathematics and Science within a secondary school setting. • Be confident teaching both subjects up to GCSE level (KS4). • Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills. • Be committed to raising attainment and inspiring students. • Possess strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
