Multi-Skilled Maintenance EngineerMidlands based Monday-Friday | 7:00am-4:00pm Robert Walters is partnering with a well-established UK manufacturing business to recruit a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organisation where you'll play a key role in maintaining production equipment, reducing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The RoleAs a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will be responsible for planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive breakdown support, and equipment improvement projects across a busy manufacturing environment. Key responsibilities include: • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on production machinery • Diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical faults • Working on motors, drives, control panels, pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps and gearboxes • Supporting installation and commissioning of new equipment • Ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures including LOTO • Recording maintenance activities through the CMMS system • Working closely with production teams to minimise downtime • Supporting contractors and contributing to continuous improvement projects About You • Time-served apprentice or NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds qualified in Engineering • Proven experience within manufacturing, production or industrial environments • Strong electrical fault-finding skills, including 3-phase systems and control circuits • Good mechanical maintenance and diagnostic capability • Able to read electrical drawings and technical schematics • 18th Edition qualification desirable • Flexible approach to overtime and occasional out-of-hours support This opportunity offers the chance to join a stable and growing manufacturer with long-term career prospects and a varied, hands-on engineering role.
