Job description
A City-based financial services firm is seeking an Operations Administrator to provide broad administrative and operational support across the business, working closely with the Directors and the wider team.
• The role covers a wide range of responsibilities. On the administrative side, you will manage day-to-day office tasks, handle incoming calls and correspondence, book meeting rooms, maintain the CRM and support the Directors with various projects and ad hoc tasks.
• Within finance, you will assist with income reconciliation, bank reconciliation, introducer payments, P11D compliance and monthly payroll.
• On the compliance side, you will maintain the compliance calendar, collate monthly management information, assist with internal and external file reviews, send quarterly client newsletters and keep the firm current with regulatory developments via the Three Sixty helpdesk.
• HR support includes assisting with recruitment, employment contracts, staff reviews and the coordination of team incentives.
• There is also a procurement element covering stationery, client hampers, restaurant bookings and the organisation of team events.
The right candidate will have at least a year's experience in an administrative or operations role, ideally within a regulated environment, though a strong general office background at a high standard will also be considered. Good Excel skills and a confident, professional communication style are essential. The firm is looking for someone methodical, organised and diligent, with the ability to manage a varied workload and bring a positive, hardworking attitude to the role.
Upon completion of probation, the benefits package includes a very generous quarterly bonus scheme, private medical and travel insurance through Vitality Health, gym membership with Virgin Active or Pure Gym, a pension contribution of £100 per month on top of auto-enrolment, an annual exam allowance of £600 and the option to work from home two days a week.
As if this is not enough, the firm also runs an annual overseas team trip. Previous destination has been New York.
