Outreach Tutor - Wrexham The Opportunity Prospero Teaching is seeking dedicated and experienced Outreach Tutors to provide high-quality 1:1 tuition and mentoring support to children and young people across Wrexham. This is a rewarding opportunity for a passionate educator who wants to make a real difference by supporting learners who may be unable to access mainstream education or require additional support to re-engage with learning. The role involves delivering personalised tuition tailored to each learners individual needs, helping them to build confidence, improve their academic skills and develop positive attitudes towards education. Alongside academic support, tutors may also help learners develop life skills, confidence, independence and prepare for their next steps. Due to the nature of the learners we support, applicants should have experience working with children and young people who may have additional needs, barriers to education or who require a more personalised approach to learning. Position Details * Location: Wrexham * Position: Outreach Tutor * Hours: 5-15 hours per week (flexible) * Start Date: September 2026 * Duration: Ongoing Experience, Training and Qualifications The successful Outreach Tutor will have: * QTS or equivalent teaching qualification (desirable) * Experience delivering education on a 1:1 basis * Experience supporting learners outside of a traditional classroom environment * Experience working with SEND, SEMH or disengaged pupils * Strong communication and relationship-building skills * A patient, adaptable and creative approach to supporting young people Experience supporting learners with additional needs such as Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, MLD, SLD, anxiety-related barriers or gaps in education is highly desirable.
