Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Parts Advisor to join a busy automotive parts department. The successful candidate will be responsible for supplying vehicle parts and accessories to both internal workshop customers and external retail/trade customers, ensuring high levels of service, stock accuracy, and departmental profitability.
This role would suit an experienced Parts Advisor looking to develop their career within a professional dealership environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesParts Sales & Customer Service
• Identify and supply vehicle parts accurately and efficiently.
• Handle customer enquiries by phone, email, and face-to-face.
• Develop relationships with retail and trade customers.
• Promote parts, accessories, and manufacturer products.
• Process customer orders and quotations.
Workshop Support
• Supply parts to technicians and service departments promptly.
• Ensure workshop jobs are supported with correct parts availability.
• Liaise with Service Advisors and Workshop Controllers regarding parts requirements.
• Assist in reducing vehicle downtime through effective parts management.
Stock Control
• Maintain accurate stock levels and inventory records.
• Receive, check, and book in deliveries.
• Manage returns, warranty parts, and stock discrepancies.
• Participate in stock counts and audits.
• Monitor fast-moving and obsolete stock.
Administration
• Process invoices, credits, and purchase orders.
• Maintain accurate parts records using dealer management systems.
• Ensure all transactions comply with company procedures.
• Support departmental reporting and documentation.
Commercial Performance
• Achieve parts sales targets and departmental objectives.
• Identify opportunities to increase revenue and customer retention.
• Support promotional activities and manufacturer campaigns.
• Contribute to overall department profitability.
