Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Advisor. This role plays a vital part in ensuring employees and pensioners are paid accurately and on time, while maintaining compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, supporting both payroll and pensions processes and delivering a high-quality, customer-focused service. Key Responsibilities: • Collate, verify, and maintain employee and pension data across relevant systems, ensuring accuracy and timely payroll processing • Process payroll and pensions activities in line with service standards, legislation, and company policies • Handle and resolve payroll and pensions queries from employees, pensioners, and third parties, escalating where appropriate • Administer and monitor payroll and pensions documentation to ensure processes are completed within agreed timelines • Support compliance by adhering to HMRC and statutory requirements, ensuring all procedures are followed correctly • Identify opportunities to improve payroll and pensions processes, particularly in response to legislative or policy changes • Assist in implementing system or process updates to maintain efficiency and compliance Skills & Experience: • Previous experience in a payroll or payroll & pensions role • Strong working knowledge of payroll processes and statutory requirements • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including functions such as VLOOKUP • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to manage high volumes of work and meet deadlines • Strong problem-solving and communication skills • Customer-focused approach with the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially What We Offer: • Competitive salary and benefits package • Opportunity to work within a supportive and collaborative team • Ongoing training and development opportunities • A role where you can contribute to continuous improvement and process enhancement If you are an organised and proactive payroll professional looking to make an impact, we would love to hear from you.
