Payroll & Systems Manager

Join a prestigious client in the HR department as a Payroll & Systems Manager. This role is crucial for managing and overseeing the outsourced payroll service to ensure it is accurate, timely, and complies with all statutory requirements and financial regulations. A significant part of this role also involves managing HR systems and leading the production of HR information, data management, and reporting.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
• Payroll & Benefits Management:
• Ensure the timely and accurate operation of payroll, pensions, and benefits administration.
• Manage end-to-end payroll processes, addressing potential errors before final sign-off and submission.
• Handle pension queries and manage the administration of benefits schemes.
• Support financial modelling, forecasting, and the annual pay remit submission.
• HR Systems and Data Management:
• Act as the lead on HR Information Systems, ensuring they are customer-focused and driven by user needs.
• Produce reports for internal and external audits, manage regular management reports/KPIs, and analyse workforce statistics.
• Ensure HR systems are up-to-date, compliant, and accurately reflect user data.
• Personal Responsibility:
• Collaborate with the HR team to deliver a comprehensive HR service.
• Manage one staff member and take responsibility for your own development within the HR/Payroll field.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• National Payroll Certificate / CIPP Practitioner Certificate or significant payroll experience.
• Substantial expertise in pay, reward, and pensions, ideally in a fast-paced professional environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office Tools, especially Word and Advanced Excel.
• Knowledge of GDPR, FoI & Subject Access Requests.
• Experience in managing HR and Payroll systems and delivering training on these systems.
• Desirable: Knowledge of Zellis, HR Information System, and Edenred/Mylifestyle Benefits Platform.
