Job description
An established company in West London is looking for a highly organised Payroll Manager to join its growing team and take full ownership of a busy payroll function. You’ll work closely with the HR and Finance teams to manage the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring HMRC compliance and overseeing payroll calculations and reconciliations. This is a permanent opportunity paying up to £60,000, depending on experience. Apply today!
The company offers a warm and welcoming team and office culture, as well as opportunities to develop both personally and professionally. The business has been established for many years, and staff members tend to have longer-than-average tenures, due in large part to the company culture and its excellent standing within the market.
This hybrid role is ideal for a self-motivated, independent and experienced payroll professional with a thorough understanding of the full payroll function, including HMRC regulations, reporting and tax calculations. This is a great opportunity to develop and manage an independent payroll function for a well-regarded business.
Based in West London, with free parking and close to major tube lines, this immediate-start role is a great opportunity to join a well-established international company offering excellent benefits. This is a 2-stage recruitment process and, while the role can start immediately, applicants with a notice period and those who are immediately available are encouraged to apply. Apply today!
As the new Payroll Manager, you will:
• Manage the complete payroll function for multiple legal entities, ensuring accurate calculation of salaries, incentive payments, employee benefits, and pension contributions.
• Be responsible for pension filings and RTI submissions to HMRC.
• Maintain payroll records and supporting data, investigating and resolving discrepancies relating to attendance, pay calculations, employee records, and statutory requirements, while acting as the main contact for payroll-related enquiries.
• Ensure payroll activities comply with current legislation, tax regulations, company policies, and reporting obligations, including liaising with government authorities and supporting regulatory submissions.
• Produce payroll documentation, statutory year-end forms, management reports, and reconciliation schedules, while assisting with both internal and external audit requirements.
• Administer employee benefit programmes, including pension processing and private healthcare arrangements, ensuring accurate reconciliation with payroll and maintaining up-to-date records.
To be successful as the new Payroll Manager, you should have:
• At least 4–5 years of payroll experience.
• Experience using payroll systems such as Workday Payroll and ADP.
• Strong knowledge of HMRC deductions, pay calculations, and payroll compliance.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
In return, you’ll be offered hybrid working, with 4 days in the office and 1 day at home, a competitive salary of up to £60,000, benefits and a discretionary bonus. Apply today!
