We're looking for a Policy Strategy Manager to join our team on a permanent basis. This is a hybrid role based in London and offers a salary of £50,000-£55,000, depending on experience. What you will be doing; • Lead ICAEW's consultation responses to government, regulators and Parliament, ensuring submissions are high quality, evidence-based and delivered on time. • Coordinate policy input from technical experts, committees and internal stakeholders to produce clear, consistent and influential policy positions. • Manage ICAEW's policy and communications grid, ensuring messaging, publications and key announcements are aligned across the organisation. • Develop briefing materials and key messages for senior leaders, including briefing notes, Q&As and speaking points for external engagement. • Monitor political, regulatory and legislative developments, providing horizon scanning and identifying opportunities and risks that could impact ICAEW and its members. • Build strong relationships across the organisation, working closely with Policy, Public Affairs, Communications and technical teams to ensure ICAEW speaks with one clear and authoritative voice. What you will need; • Proven experience in policy development, ideally within a membership body, regulator, trade association, professional services or a similar environment. • Excellent written communication skills, with experience producing high-quality consultation responses, policy papers or briefing documents. • Strong stakeholder management and organisational skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities and build effective relationships across teams. • Good understanding of government, parliamentary and regulatory processes, with the political awareness to develop clear, evidence-based policy positions.
