We are looking for a part time Practice Nurse. The successful candidate will hold current NMC registration. We are looking for a nurse who is enthusiastic, organised and confident to work unsupervised in a treatment room. An enhanced DBS check will be required for this post.
The post is not open to candidates from outside the UK as we are not able to offer visa sponsorship.
The successful applicant may at times be asked to cover for colleagues annual leave and other absences.
Our ideal candidate would be somebody who :
Would maintain accurate and confidential patient records using SystemOne.
Participate in Infection Prevention & Control procedures including monthly, quarterly and annual audits.
Ensure clinical equipment is maintained and appropriately stocks
Support quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits and service development.
Participate in practice meetings, training and continued professional development (CDP)
Duties include:
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care
Manage patients with Long-term conditions including : Diabetes, Asthma, COPD, Hypertension and Coronary Heart Disease
Administer Vaccinations and Immunisations in accordance with National Guidelines.
Administer Injections and medications under Patient Group Direction of prescribing qualifications where applicable.
Perform Cervical Screening
Undertake wound care, dressings, suture removal or clip removal.
Perform to the highest standard of infection control.

New Patient Health Checks
Lifestyle advice and Health Promotion
Venepuncture,ECG's, Blood Pressure Monitoring, Urinalysis and other clinical procedures.
