Commercial Property Solicitor (7+ PQE) North London | £80,000 - £90,000 | Predominantly Office Based An established property business with a substantial commercial property portfolio across London and the South East is seeking an experienced Commercial Property Solicitor to join its in-house legal team. This is a rare opportunity for a senior commercial property lawyer to move into a stable, non-fee-earning environment where you will support the business's property management operations and work closely with experienced legal colleagues. The Role Joining a close-knit legal team comprising three solicitors, you will provide pragmatic, commercially focused advice to the commercial property management function and take ownership of a broad range of landlord-side property matters. Responsibilities • Advising on commercial landlord and tenant matters across a substantial property portfolio • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial leases • Supporting on lease renewals under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 (non-contentious matters) • Handling title investigations and land registry queries • Providing legal support to the commercial property management team • Managing matters autonomously with minimal supervision • Working closely with internal stakeholders to deliver practical legal solutions About You You will be: • A qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 7+ years' PQE • Trained at a respected City, national or regional commercial property practice or in-house role • Experienced in commercial landlord and tenant work involving: • Retail units • Offices • Industrial estates and warehouse premises • Comfortable advising on: • Commercial leases • Lease renewals under the 1954 Act • Land and title issues • Able to work independently and act as a trusted adviser to the business Please note this role does not involve property acquisitions or disposals. Working Arrangements • Full-time position • Office-based, with up to one day per week working from home • North London / Hertfordshire border location • Easily accessible by road and well suited to candidates based across North London, Hertfordshire and surrounding Home Counties. • Particularly well suited to candidates based in North London, Hertfordshire or surrounding Home Counties Salary & Benefits • £80,000 - £90,000 depending on experience • Additional company closure days throughout the year • Free on-site parking • Stable in-house legal environment with long-term career prospects Working Hours • Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 6:00pm • Additional company closure days apply throughout the year and Occasional adjusted office hours during designated company closure periods. • Early finish on designated Friday afternoons during certain periods of the year This role is best suited to candidates based in North London, Hertfordshire, Middlesex, Essex or surrounding Home Counties seeking a long-term in-house commercial property position.
