Job description

We're recruiting on behalf of a busy medical practice in Leadenhall seeking an experienced Receptionist to provide holiday cover for a three-week assignment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous medical practice reception experience who can confidently step into a fast-paced environment and provide a professional, welcoming service to patients from day one. The Role As the first point of contact for patients, you'll be responsible for ensuring the reception runs smoothly while delivering a high standard of customer service. You'll be handling appointments, managing enquiries and supporting the wider practice team with day-to-day administrative duties. Responsibilities • Welcoming patients and visitors to the practice • Answering incoming telephone calls and responding to enquiries • Booking, amending and cancelling appointments • Checking patients in for appointments • Managing patient records and updating information accurately • Handling general administrative tasks and correspondence • Supporting the clinical and administrative teams as required About You To be considered, you'll have previous experience working as a Receptionist within a GP surgery, medical practice or similar healthcare setting. You'll also have: • Excellent communication and customer service skills • A professional and friendly manner • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail • The ability to remain calm in a busy environment • Confidence using medical practice systems and Microsoft Office Assignment Details • Location: Leadenhall, London • Start Date: 24th August • End Date: 11th September • Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm • Pay: £15.00 - £17.50 per hour If you're an experienced Medical Receptionist available for the full duration of the assignment, we'd love to hear from you.
