Job description

A leading global (re)insurance organisation is seeking a qualified Reserving Actuary to join its London-based actuarial team. This is a highly visible role offering broad exposure across UK and European business lines, where you will provide reserving expertise, support key business decisions and contribute to strategic actuarial initiatives. You will be responsible for leading quarterly reserve reviews, delivering insightful analysis of reserve movements and financial performance, supporting board and regulatory reporting, and driving projects focused on process improvement, automation and model development. The role also involves close collaboration with underwriting, claims, finance and risk teams, helping to shape reserving methodologies and communicate results to a wide range of stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be a FIA qualified actuary with strong London Market reserving experience and a solid understanding of P&C (re)insurance. You will be technically strong, commercially aware and comfortable explaining complex actuarial concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. The business is looking for someone proactive and collaborative, with strong project management skills and a genuine interest in driving innovation and continuous improvement.
