Job description

Residential Conveyancing Solicitor • Location: Central Glasgow • Job Type: Hybrid (2 days at home, 3 days in office) • Annual Leave: 20 days plus public holidays and Christmas to New Year shutdown A well-established law firm in central Glasgow, with over 40 years of experience, is seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancing Solicitor to join their team. This senior position is ideal for someone with demonstrable experience looking to advance in a role designed with succession planning in mind. Day-to-day of the role: • Communicate with other legal firms and banks regarding conveyancing transactions. • Take instructions from clients and adopt a client-focused approach, always working in the best interest of the client. • Draft, collate, and send supporting legal and financial documents. • Manage the financial elements of transactions, including receiving and reviewing mortgage instructions from lenders. • Oversee the conveyancing process from start to finish, including the completion of the registration of deeds. • Potentially supervise junior paralegals, providing guidance and support as needed. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Proven experience as a Solicitor, specifically in residential conveyancing. • Supervisory experience of junior team members is desirable. • Strong understanding of legal procedures and legislation related to residential property. • Excellent organisational and time management skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. • Proficiency in legal software and Microsoft Office.
