Job description

Job Purpose To provide high-quality, evidence-based primary care services to patients registered with the practice, ensuring safe, effective, and patient-centred care in line with NHS, CQC and GMC standards. Key Responsibilities Deliver general medical services to your 'personal list' of patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions. Provide preventative care, health promotion, and lifestyle advice. Prescribe medications safely and appropriately in accordance with current guidelines. Participate in clinical governance, audits, and quality improvement initiatives. Contribute to achieving Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) targets and other contractual requirements. Maintain accurate and timely clinical records using the practices electronic system. Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, including nurses, pharmacists, and allied health professionals. Engage in continuing professional development (CPD) and maintain GMC revalidation requirements. Participate in practice meetings, clinical discussions, and contribute to service development. Participate in duty GP rota Ensure compliance with safeguarding, confidentiality, and CQC standards.
