The Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will: • Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, communication difficulties, and social, emotional, and behavioural needs. • Work alongside teachers and SEN teams to support individual learning and development. • Implement personalised support strategies and interventions. • Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where every child can thrive. • Encourage pupils' confidence, independence, and engagement with learning. • Support positive behaviour and help pupils develop essential social and emotional skills. The Ideal Candidate Will Have: • Experience working with children or young people with SEN, either in a school, specialist setting, or similar environment. • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach. • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families. • A good understanding of safeguarding and supporting children with additional needs. • Relevant qualifications or experience in education, childcare, health, or support work (desirable). • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
