A welcoming and inclusive special school in Erdington is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to join their supportive team. About the SchoolThe school provides specialist education for pupils from KS3- KS4 with a range of severe and complex learning difficulties and challenging behaviour. They pride themselves on a warm, nurturing, and inclusive ethos, with a strong emphasis on personalised learning and creating a safe environment where every child is supported to reach their full potential. The RoleWe are looking for Teaching Assistants who are: • Experienced in supporting children with SEND • Flexible and confident in adapting to a variety of needs and routines • Proactive, using initiative to support learning in the classroom • Based locally in the Oldbury area or able to commute easily Key ResponsibilitiesYour role will include: • Supporting pupils with severe and complex needs on a 1:1 basis or in small groups • Assisting the class teacher with individualised learning activities • Supporting pupils with communication, engagement, and personal development • Helping to maintain a positive, structured, and safe learning environment Working PatternThis position is offered on a daily supply basis, providing flexibility to suit your schedule. There are also opportunities for longer-term placements, allowing you to build meaningful relationships with both pupils and staff.
