SEND Teaching Assistant – Luton Are you an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity in Luton? We are recruiting enthusiastic and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistants to join a range of specialist schools and SEND provisions across the area. If you have experience supporting children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities and are passionate about helping them achieve their potential, we'd love to hear from you. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom. Working alongside teachers and multidisciplinary teams, you will help create a structured, engaging and nurturing learning environment where every pupil can thrive academically, socially and emotionally. The Role • Provide tailored one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEND. • Support pupils with a range of needs, including Autism (ASD), ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, and complex learning needs. • Encourage communication, independence and confidence throughout the school day. • Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging and accessible learning activities. • Promote positive behaviour using consistent and nurturing strategies. • Assist with personal care where required. • Help create a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment. What We're Looking For • Previous UK experience working as a SEND Teaching Assistant or supporting children and young people with SEND. • A patient, resilient and caring nature. • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families. • Strong communication and teamwork skills. • Confidence in adapting your approach to meet the individual needs of each pupil. • A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with SEND. • Experience with personal care is advantageous but not essential.
