Senior Account Handler

We have partnered with a fast-growing insurance broker that specialises in insuring high-growth, often venture-capital-backed businesses. The firm operates a model that allows Brokers to focus on technical delivery and client service, supported by a dedicated Growth Team that generates new business opportunities. The business is now looking to appoint a Broker into its Commercial team. This team manages a broad range of commercial risks outside of it's specialisms, including manufacturing, retail, and warehousing. The role is a broad, end-to-end position that combines account handling, business development, and account management, offering full ownership of the client relationship. The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years' experience in commercial insurance and will be comfortable working with mid-corporate to corporate-level clients, typically with premiums of £100,000+ and turnovers between £20m and £500m+. Experience with global insurance programmes, particularly placing UK master policies for international risks, is advantageous but not essential, and strong corporate handlers from a UK-only background will also be considered. A minimum qualification of Cert CII is required, with Dip CII or higher preferred. This opportunity will suit a driven, hands-on individual who is comfortable operating with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, scale-up environment. As the business continues to refine its processes, candidates will need to be adaptable, open-minded, and collaborative in their approach. The role is based in Cheltenham, with office attendance required at least twice per week, with Tuesdays designated as team days.
