Senior Financial Controller

An established global macro investment manager is seeking a qualified accountant to join its finance team as Financial Controller. Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a rare opportunity to gain broad exposure across management company finance, fund accounting, regulatory reporting, investor reporting and strategic business initiatives within a sophisticated alternative investment platform. The role will suit an ambitious ACA, ACCA or CIMA-qualified accountant looking to move beyond a traditional finance role and develop a holistic understanding of how an investment manager operates. Responsibilities • Ownership of monthly management accounts across multiple entities • Lead budgeting, forecasting and year-end audit processes • Oversee cash management, financial controls and tax filings • Review NAV calculations and fund accounting activities • Liaise with fund administrators, auditors and external advisers • Support regulatory reporting and governance requirements • Contribute to board reporting and investor communications • Drive automation, process improvement and finance transformation initiatives Candidate Profile • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified • Demonstrable track record in a finance function - minimum 3 years of experience • Background in asset management, hedge funds, fund administration, product control or audit with investment management exposure • Strong understanding of management accounting and financial reporting • Exposure to fund accounting and NAV processes is advantageous • Commercially minded, proactive and keen to improve processes through technology and automation Why Join?
