Senior People & Culture Business Partner – OperationsLocation: Cardiff/Gloucestershire - Multi-site UK role with regular travel Salary: £80,000 - £85,000 + benefits (car allowance, bonus) We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Senior People & Culture Business Partner to join a large, complex operational business. This is a highly visible role partnering with senior leaders to shape and deliver people strategies that enhance organisational performance, strengthen capability, and foster a positive and inclusive culture. Working across multiple operational sites, you will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, translating business objectives into practical, people-focused solutions that support both immediate priorities and long-term growth. The RoleAs a key member of the People & Culture team, you will: Strategic Business Partnership • Partner with senior leadership teams to develop and implement strategic people plans. • Provide expert guidance on workforce planning, organisational design, succession planning, capability development, and reward. • Use people data and insights to identify risks, opportunities, and trends. • Lead and support organisational change initiatives. • Coach and influence leaders to build high-performing teams. • Champion an inclusive, engaged, and performance-driven culture. • Align people initiatives with operational and commercial objectives. Employee Experience • Support the delivery of an exceptional employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle. • Manage complex employee relations matters in partnership with specialist colleagues. • Drive initiatives that support inclusion, wellbeing, and employee engagement. • Use engagement feedback and people metrics to inform continuous improvement. • Facilitate employee engagement forums and representative groups. Talent, Performance & Capability • Lead talent and succession planning activities. • Identify critical roles and capability requirements. • Support career development and internal mobility initiatives. • Partner with recruitment teams to attract and retain high-calibre talent. • Drive robust performance management and talent calibration processes. • Help build organisational capability through targeted development initiatives. About YouTo be successful in this role, you will bring: • Significant experience as a People/HR Business Partner working with senior leadership teams. • Experience operating within a complex, multi-site, operational, manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, or similarly fast-paced environment. • Strong commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills. • Broad expertise across core HR disciplines. • Proven experience leading organisational change and transformation activities. • Strong employee relations and UK employment law knowledge. • CIPD qualification (or equivalent professional qualification). • A degree-level qualification or equivalent experience. • Proficiency with HR systems and Microsoft Office applications. • Willingness to travel regularly across multiple UK locations. Desirable Experience • Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, distribution, engineering, or supply chain environments. • Exposure to lean operations, continuous improvement, or world-class operational practices.
