Senior Manager – Job Specification Location: South of Cornwall Salary: Competitive + Benefits Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent The Opportunity An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced and commercially minded Senior Manager to join a well-established and growing accountancy practice South of Cornwall. This role is suited to an ambitious professional looking to take on a key leadership position within a collaborative and forward-thinking firm. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing client relationships, overseeing a varied portfolio, supporting the development of junior staff, and contributing to the continued growth of the practice. Key Responsibilities • Managing a diverse portfolio of clients including limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships • Reviewing statutory accounts, management accounts, and tax returns • Providing business advisory and strategic support to clients • Leading and mentoring junior and senior members of the team • Building and maintaining strong long-term client relationships • Supporting business development activities and identifying growth opportunities • Ensuring compliance with accounting and tax regulations • Liaising with HMRC and other professional bodies where required • Managing workflow, deadlines, and team performance effectively • Assisting Partners with operational and strategic initiatives Candidate Requirements • ACA / ACCA / CTA qualified (or equivalent) • Significant experience within accountancy practice • Strong technical knowledge across accounts and taxation • Proven experience managing client portfolios • Excellent leadership and people management skills • Commercially aware with strong problem-solving ability • Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines • Experience reviewing work and developing junior staff Desirable Experience • Business advisory exposure • Practice development or business development involvement • Experience working with cloud-based accounting software including Xero and QuickBooks What’s on Offer • Competitive salary and benefits package • Clear progression opportunities • Supportive and collaborative working environment • Flexible working options • Ongoing professional development • Opportunity to play a key role within a growing firm #ASRAF
