Job description

Eames are currently working with an exciting reinsurance business on the appointment of a Senior Operations and Data Specialist. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with data, improving processes, and turning information into insights that support business performance. The Opportunity The Senior Associate will play a key role in managing, analysing, and improving operational data across the syndicate. Working with teams across underwriting, finance, claims, operations, and technology, you will help improve data quality, streamline processes, and develop solutions that make business activities more efficient and scalable. Key Responsibilities * Own and analyse key operational datasets, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and completeness. * Deliver reporting, analysis, and insights to support senior stakeholders and business decisions. * Manage data validation, reconciliations, controls, and quality checks. * Identify trends, investigate issues, and recommend improvements based on data findings. * Support regulatory and management reporting requirements. * Improve data processes by reducing manual activity and enhancing automation. * Work with technology teams to test and implement system improvements. * Create and maintain effective reporting tools and operational dashboards. About You You will bring: * Experience within the insurance industry, ideally in an operational, analytical, or delegated authority role. * Strong Excel skills with experience in data analysis, reconciliation, and reporting. * Experience using data tools such as Power Query, SQL, Python, or visualisation platforms is beneficial. * The ability to interpret complex datasets and communicate insights clearly. * A proactive approach to identifying improvements and creating more efficient ways of working. You will be comfortable working with multiple stakeholders and using data to influence decisions and drive operational improvements.
