About the Role We are seeking empathetic and motivated individuals to join our team as Residential Support and Senior Residential Support Workers, providing consistent and nurturing care to children and young people with EBD living at our children's home located in Hertfordshire (HP3). This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a child’s life. Candidate will possess a good understanding of OFSTED regulations and compliance requirements, along with experience of working at a children's home. Key Responsibilities: • Build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people. • Provide direct care and support to children and young people in line with their individual care plans. • Promote a safe, nurturing and structured environment. • Contribute to care planning, risk assessments, and key working sessions. • Support with staff induction and training. • Ensure safeguarding procedures are consistently followed. • Uphold safeguarding and behaviour support procedures. • Support daily routines, including education, activities, appointments and personal care. • Maintain accurate records and reports. • Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. • Lead shifts and support the team with guidance, mentoring and supervision. Requirements: • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or willingness to complete within 2 years. • Experience working with children or young people. • Strong communication, empathy and resilience. • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins. • Sound understanding of safeguarding and therapeutic approaches to care. • Full UK driving licence – desirable.
